After Ike

What do Houston, Galveston, and the coastlines of Louisiana and Texas all have in common? They are all dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Ike, the storm that made landfall Saturday, September 13. The Gulf Coast’s oil and gas platforms were struck twice by devastation within just two weeks of each other, leaving much of the South’s oil production and refining to start over.

With customers still surveying their rigs, and calls coming in daily of locations flattened and beyond repair, we at Ranger want everyone to know how hard we are working to help each and every one get back to work safely and as quick as possible. For some of you, we know it will take time. We promise that no matter the work involved or the time it takes to get you back up and running, Ranger will be there through it all.

Often times, there are repercussions of hurricanes that go unnoticed, with the media focusing solely on lives lost and houses destroyed.  Ranger understands that the pain and suffering extends beyond that. We know that unless you are back working, you cannot truly begin to repair and rebuild what was lost. Let us help you start that process today.

There’s no question that the rising oil prices are causing a stir amongst Americans. And with those soaring prices at the pump, our nation is looking to produce more oil on our homeland. And while some believe we need to find new ways to power our economy, it seems as though oil is here to stay. This is why I want to explain to you a little more about how oil services really play a part in the big picture of production.

For years, oil service companies have been the silent partner or backbone for oil and gas producing companies. They are the number one on speed dial when petroleum companies are in need on and off the shore. The main goal of a service company is to provide supplies and support to the oil and gas industry, but the job is not an easy task. We have to make sure we stay on top of our game. There are thousands of companies out there supplying goods to the oil industry, and it’s our solid dedication to excellence that will set us apart from the rest.

Being in the service industry is a 24 hour, 7 days a week commitment. Americans are constantly going, and it takes fuel to keep them moving. The only way to keep the fuel pumping is by providing the proper tools, supplies, and support for those who need them to get the job done; which is why Ranger emerged. With a combined total exceeding 100 years of experience, we are a true “leader in production.”
